Willaby Organic Geo Burp Cloth

by: Willaby

  • The geo burp cloth is made from eight layers of unbleached organic cotton gauze with unbelievable loft and softness. Sandwiched inside is a layer of organic cotton batting for extra absorbency. We finish it off with a naturally hand-dyed triangle in the corner. Generously sized and thick, the burp cloth is not only pretty, but utilitarian too.

The yellow, gray, and pink fabric on these burp cloths is hand-dyed with natural dyes by willaby designer/owner Kim Woods, in a pot. The blue fabric is dyed in an organic indigo vat. No two dyed pieces are alike, each having variations in tone and surface appearance.

    • Approximately 22" x 14"
    • 100% GOTS certified organic cotton
    • Unbleached organic cotton gauze fabric is made in an eco-friendly, sustainable mill
    • Designed in Georgia. Sewn in Kim's home state of Ohio, in quilters' home studios.
  • Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. Tumble dry low.

Willaby is an Athens, GA based design studio established in 2014 that makes children’s bedding, blankets, and accessories. They make minimal, understated pieces that are meant to last; not to be quickly discarded, but rather passed down or along to the next child.

  • Willaby is designed by owner Kim Woods and made locally in Georgia and Kim's Ohio hometown by skilled craftspeople. In the purchasing of fabric, they support fair trade-certified textile mills paying a fair wage, providing safe working conditions, and treating the environment with care. Willaby practices a no-waste policy, recycling all packaging that comes into the studio, and turning fabric scraps from the manufacturing process into paper for gift wrap. Their hand-loomed rugs are upcycled from fabric scraps, too.
