Areli was handmade in Oaxaca by Rosa Gómez. She is made with natural cotton that was woven in Mexico, the details of her face are embroidered and her clothes are miniature versions of Rosa's women's line. At the Sunday market, we saw lots of these traditional Oaxacan dolls, but Izabel & Areli were our favorites. Rosa explained to us that her doll was made from the doll pattern, passed down to her by the original artist where most of the other dolls at the market are knock-offs.
